Irish Number one Perry, at the age 34, would be considered by most people a veteran on the tour. Although it seems that she has other ideas, reaching as career high of number three in April 2011, Perry seems to be enjoying the best form of her life. She won the Singapore Masters in June after defeating Laura Massaro in four games in the final.
Another career highlight was achieved in 2009 when she sensationally beat world number one Nicol David in the British Open quarter-finals.
She also showed her best squash in August 2010. At the new and upgraded Australian Open, she marched through the draw, upending three English opponents along the way, one after the other, Massaro in the quarter final, top seed Jenny Duncalf in the semi final and finally edging out Alison Waters in the final. Her seventh career title and the biggest by far.
