At the 2025 World Junior Team Squash Championships held in New Cairo, Egypt, the Hong Kong, China Girls’ Squash Team, competing as the No. 2 seed, showcased impressive performance to advance to the final. The team topped their group stage with a flawless record of three consecutive victories and then secured a 2-0 win over the No. 8 seed, Australia, in the quarterfinals yesterday.

In today’s semifinals, Team Hong Kong, China faced the No. 3 seed, Team USA. Cheung Tsz Ching narrowly fell in the opening match by 0-3 (10-12, 11-13, 6-11) to Alexandra Jaffe. However, Tang Helen responded with a commanding straight-sets victory (11-6, 11-2, 11-2) over Charlotte Pastel, levelling the score at 1-1. In the decisive match, Kwong Ena clinched a 3-1 win (12-10, 11-5, 6-11, 11-5) against Samantha Jaffe, propelling Hong Kong, China into the women’s final for the first time since 2009.

The gold medal match is scheduled for tomorrow at 2 p.m. local time. Let’s cheer for Team Hong Kong, China!
