The 2024 FISU World University Squash Championships in Johannesburg, South Africa, concluded all Singles matches yesterday.

Six Hong Kong, China representatives, Chung Yat Long Leo, Lam Yat Ting Harley, To Wai Lok Oto, Cheng Nga Ching Sara, Fung Ching Hei Heylie and Tse Yee Lam Toby, achieved an impressive result of obtaining 2 Silvers and 3 Bronze medals.

The Women’s second seed Cheng Nga Ching Sara fought hard against the top seed, Spanish player Marta Dominguez Fernandez and ultimately lost 2-3 (11-7, 5-11, 8-11, 11-9, 4-11).

While the dark horse To Wai Lok Oto, who was seeded 9/16 in the Men's event and eliminated the top seed and the fourth seed in the Quarter-finals and Semi-finals a day before, was stopped by the 5/8 seed, French player Baptiste Christophe Bouin yesterday by 0-3 (4-11, 5-11, 9-11) and awarded another Silver medal to the team.

Additionally, Men's player Chung Yat Long Leo and Women's players Fung Ching Hei Heylie and Tse Yee Lam Toby claimed Bronze medals respectively, while Lam Yat Ting Harley finished his journey as 7th Place.
