Yip Tsz Fung, Liu Tsz Ling, Ho Tze Lok and Chan Sin Yuk competed in the Squash on Fire Open 2022 in Washington of the United States, which was their first PSA World Tour Bronze Event this year.
Both Yip Tsz Fung and Chan Sin Yuk earned the wildcards in the main draw after winning the Wildcard Challenge. Yip Tsz Fung outplayed the Egyptian Moustafa El Sirty, who won over him in the final of the 15th CNS International Squash Championship last year, in a straight game (11-5, 11-9, 11-3). However, Yip Tsz Fung was stopped by the 8th seed Cesar Salazar of Mexico in Round 2 at 1-3 (8-11, 7-11, 11-9, 6-11).
In the Women’s draw, Liu Tsz Ling and Ho Tze Lok were both eliminated by their opponents at 0-3 in Round 1; and Chan Sin Yuk lost to the higher ranked player, the Belgian Tinne Gilis in a tough five setter at 4-11, 11-3, 10-12, 11-9, 5-11.
