Our Association warmly welcomes and fully supports the series of sports development initiatives proposed by Chief Executive Mr. John Lee in the 2025 Policy Address. We are grateful to the HKSAR Government for its continued commitment to the sports sector, especially in its comprehensive strategy to promote elite sports, mega events, professionalism, industrialization, and community participation.

The Policy Address outlines the Government’s full support for hosting the 15th National Games in Hong Kong, as well as its efforts to optimize venue planning, enhance governance of sports associations, strengthen support for athletes, and promote sports culture. These measures not only provide a stronger development platform for local athletes but also help elevate Hong Kong’s status as an international sports city.

We particularly welcome the Government’s initiative to support local sports associations in facilitating the establishment of Asian or international sports federations in Hong Kong, and to encourage active participation in regional and global sports organizations. This will enhance Hong Kong’s influence in the international sports arena and foster greater global integration, creating more opportunities for athletes and sports professionals to exchange and grow.
 

Our Association will continue to align closely with government policies, promote the development of squash in Hong Kong, and contribute to the advancement of our sports sector.
