HK took 5 gold, 3 silver & 4 bronze medals in K.L. Junior Open

(23 Dec) Congratulation to our juniors who captured 5 gold medals (Fung Ngo Long ¡V BU19, Ho Tze Ho ¡V BU17, Yeung Ho Wai ¡V BU15, Chu Ka Hei ¡V GU15, Choi Uen Shan - GU13), 3 silvers (Choy Kit Lun ¡V BU19, Lo Cheuk Hin ¡V BU15, Chan Pui Hei ¡V GU15), 4 bronzes (Tang Cheuk Yan ¡V BU17, Ng Ka Yiu ¡V BU13, Lee Ka Yi - GU17, Lam Wing Hei ¡V GU13) at the Kuala Lumpur Junior Open Squash Championships 2009 held in Malaysia on 17th to 21st December 2009. Well Done!!!

 

5th East Asian Games - Celebration & Incentive Presentation

(21 Dec) The HK Squash Team was extremely honoured to receive a special greeting from the Chief Executive of the HKSAR, Mr Donald Tsang, who was present at the Celebration Luncheon earlier today. The medalists then received the special cash incentives of total amount HK$400,000 jointly offered by Chairman Mui and Vice-Chairman Tong for their historic achievement in the 5th East Asian Games. Thanks again to Mr Mui & Mr Tong for their generosity and encouragement to our athletes.

 

1st HKSSF Inter-School Mini-squash Competition 2009/2010

(15 Dec) Inter-school Mini-squash Competition will be held on 9 & 10 January 2010 at the Cornwall Street Squash Centre, Kowloon Tong, which is organized by Hong Kong Schools Sports Federation, supported by Hong Kong Squash and sponsored by Fujifilm.

This year, the tournament is attracting total 219 primary students from 42 schools.Please come and support all the junior players!

The HK Squash team won all 7 Gold & 5 Silver Medals in the 2009 EAG

(12 Dec) Congratulations to the Hong Kong doubles teams who won all the gold and silver medals in the HKG 2009 EAG. In the final of the women's doubles, Rebecca Chiu/ Joey Chan beat Annie Au/ Elise Ng 2-0, while Dick Lau/ Roger Ngan beat Anson Kwong/ Wong Wai-hang 2-1 in the men's doubles and Annie & Leo Au beat Rebecca Chiu/ Roger Ngan 2-0 in the mixed doubles. We were very honoured to have Mr. John CC Chan, Member of the 5th EAG Planning Committee, Mr. Mui, Chairman of HK Squash and Mr. Tong, Vice-chairman of HK Squash to presenting the medals to our athletes.

(8 Dec) Today Hong Kong team reach to final in the team event successfully. HK sent Annie Au Wing-chi and Joey Chan Ho-ling beat Korea team 2-0 today in the women's semi-final, they will meet Japan team tomorrow 4pm to fight for the gold medal. (6 Dec) Congratulations to Rebecca Chiu Wing-yin and Dick Lau Siu-wai who took the gold medal of the singles event in the HKG 2009 EAG. In the women's fnal, Rebecca Chiu defeated Annie Au 3-1 while Dick Lau beat Max Lee 3-1 in the men's final. In the men's team event, HKG dismissed Macau 2-0 to reach the semi-final. Please be noted that the event dates of the 1st Asian Masters Squash Championship 2010 has been changed to 1st - 6th March 2010 at Kathmandu, Nepal.

Nepal renown as a great tourist destination ( with its Himalayan Mountains ) is an added incentive for players to make this trip and even do some trekking up the mountains.

1st Asian Masters Squash Championship 2010

Thanks to the initiatives of Nepal Squash Rackets Federation (NSRF) the much awaited 1st Asian Masters Squash Championship 2010 will be held from 13 - 19 February, 2010 at Kathmandu, Nepal.

It is the fervent wish of ASF that Member Nations would encourage as many squash players from your respective countries to participate and make this inaugural Championship a grand success. The success of this inaugural Championship would be the impetus needed to carry forward and make this event either an annual or biannual activity on ASF's calendar.

China Open 2009 Lau and Lee reached to semis

(28 Oct) This is a "Super Satellite" world tour men's tournament of 16-draw sanctioned by the Professional Squash Association (PSA) with a total prize money of US$6,000. All the main draw matches will start at 12pm from 18th to 21st at the Cornwall Street Park Squash Centre, Kowloon Tong. Our Hong Kong top men's athletes will participate and this tournament will be the last one leading up to the East Asian Games in December.
