Hong Kong Teams claim the champion of East Asian Squash Championships 2015

(29 Jun) Congratulations Hong Kong Teams on claiming both Men・s and Women・s Champion in the 10th East Asian Squash Championships 2015 held successfully in Taipei.

Women・s Team consists of Tong Tsz Wing, Chu Man Yee Vanessa, Lee Ka Man and Lee Ka Yi whereas Men・s Team consists of Wong Chi Him, Tang Cheuk Yan, Leung Chi Hin and Yuen Tsun Hei who competed with five countries and cities including China, Chinese Taipei, Japan, Korea and Macau. They took the victory without losing a match.

Mr. David Mui, MH JP, Chairman of Hong Kong Squash also came and gave his supports to the team.

Squash shortlisted for Tokyo 2020

(23 Jun) Announced by the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee yesterday, we are delighted that Squash to be shortlisted as one of the eight sports from which a final recommendation will be made to the International Olympic Committee for the addition to Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in this September.

Leo Au and Annie Au take the titles in Hong Kong Championships 2015

(13/6) Hong Kong Squash Championships 2015 has finally come to a successful end.In front of the packed crowds witnessing the champion born at Hong Kong Squash Centre, Leo Au and Annie Au took the triumph home.

The women・s final was a new combination with Annie Au playing against Liu Tsz ling. Though Liu came back one set at 4-11 from two games down, Annie still managed to hold on and win at 11-6,11-9,4-11 and 11-5 to claim her fourth champion title.

Winning over Lee Ho Yin Max from the intensive see-saw 5 games, Au Chun Ming Leo captured his third Hong Kong Champion title from 1-2 down to fight back hard to win at 9-11,11-9,9-11,11-4,11-9. Both players made their most effort to demonstrate us a wonderful squash.

Tong Tsz Wing and Yip Tsz Fung claimed the second runner-up respectively. Yip beat Wong Chi Him at a straight whereas Tong was leading at 9-6 at the first game, Joey Chan was retired due to her inquiry.

Prize Presentation Ceremony was followed after the men・s finals. Mr. David Mui, MH JP the chairman of Hong Kong Squash gave a congratulatory speech and presented the awards along with Mr, David Collins, Honorary Treasurer of Hong Kong Squash, Mr. KK Chan and Mr. Cedric Tyen, Executive Committee members of Hong Kong Squash to all the winners.

Four Finalists confirmed at Hong Kong Squash Championships 2015

(12 Jun) The Men・s and Women・s Finalists of Hong Kong Squash Championships 2015 are set after four exciting matches. Liu Tsz Ling upset the defending champion Chan Ho Ling tonight in the women・s semi-finals in a straight game, 11-4, 17-15 and 11-8 to process to the final for the second time after 2013. This is her first time to meet the three times champion Annie Au in the women・s final.

Annie Au Wing Chi dispatched Tong Tsz Wing at 11-5, 11-1 and 11-4 in another women・s semi to come through the final.

The men・s final will be once again between the defending champion Lee Ho Yin Max and Au Chun Ming Leo. Max beat Wong Chi Him without losing a game at 11-1, 11-6 and 11-6 to reach the men・s final tomorrow. Leo Au came back from a game down at 6-11 to bring the victory back at 6-11,11-3,11-4 and 11-5.

The women・s final will be scheduled at 3pm whereas the men・s final will be at 3:45pm tomorrow at Hong Kong Squash Centre.

Junior Girls Team achieves Outstanding Junior Athletes Awards

(12 Jun) Congratulations our Junior Girls・ Team consisting of Choi Uen Shan, Ho Ka Wing, Lui Hiu Lam and Cheng Nga Ching who are rewarded the outstanding awards for the 1stquarter of Sports for Hope foundation Outstanding Junior Athlete Awards 2015 in recognition of their excellent performance of claiming the silver medal on the 17th Asian Junior Team Championships.

We would like to thank our coaches and players for their hard working and we wish they would continue to make their greatest endeavor and success in the future ahead.

Seeds pass through semis of HK Squash Championships 2015

(11 Jun) Men・s and Women・s Quarter Finals of HK Squash Competitions 2015 is completed at Hong Kong Squash Centre tonight, seeded players successfully advance to semis finals.

Women・s defending champion, Joey Chan makes a step closer to her third consecutive titles by winning over Lee Ka Yi at 3-0 whereas first seed Annie Au also beats her opponent at a straight.

For the men・s event, Max Lee continues his title defense after defeating Yuen Tsun Hei at 3-1 and Leo Au Chun Ming also takes over Chris Lo at a comfortable 3-0.

Joey and Annie will meet Liu Tsz Ling and Tong Tsz Wing respectively at the semi-finals which will be started at 6:15 at Hong Kong Squash Centre tomorrow.

3 trophies achieved in PBA 13th Penang (Malaysian) Junior Open 2015

(8 Jun) Congratulations to our Hong Kong Junior players who completed the 13th Penang (Malaysian) Junior Open 2015 with an outstanding results of 2 Silver and 1 Bronze trophies last Saturday in Panang, Malaysia. Choi Uen Shan and Chan Sin Yuk who won the 2nd place in GU19 & GU13 respectively, whereas Tse Yee Lam Toby won the 3rd place in GU11.

Chan Ho Ling took the victory in New Zealand International 2015

(8 Jun) Top seed Joey Chan won over Misaki Kobayashi at the final of New Zealand Squash Classic 2015, taking her first champion title home in this year.

Being from 2 games down but coming back strong and determined to claim the title at 5-11,10-12,11-2,11-7 and 11-5. Joey proves her ability and boosts her confidence to get ready for the HK Chmapionships.

Hong Kong Squash Championships 2015 - Men's and Women's Championships are ready

(5 Jun) Hong Kong Squash Championships 2015 - Men's and Women's Championships will be held from June 8 - 13 in Hong Kong Squash Centre. Lee Ho Yin Max and Chan Ho Ling Joey begin their title defense on June 9 and June 10 respectively.

Max Lee will line up with Leo Au as the top and second seed of the men's event whereas Hong Kong Women's No.1 and No.2 Annie Au and Joey Chan are the first and second seed of the women's event. Other young and promising players such as Liu Tsz Ling, Tong Tsz Wing, Chu Man Yee, Yip Tsz Fung, Tang Cheuk Yan and Wong Chi Him would also appear in the competition.

Double Champions Store in Hong Kong


(30 May) Annie Au Wing Chi and Max Lee Ho Yin crowned their first champion title this year in HKFC PSA International 25 2015.

Annie won after a tough and aggressive five games against Habiba Mohamed in the Women・s Final held this afternoon.Annie led the first game at 11-7, however Mohamed fought back in the second and third games. Annie didn・t give up and showed her determination and in the fourth and fifth games to pull away Mohamed at 11-7, 8-11, 9-11,11-4 and 11-8.

The defending champion, Max Lee Ho Yin retained the men・s title in the fierce four games. Though he was down in the first set, he was being focus and playing an aggressive way to come back in the follow three set and captured the victory at 9-11,11-6,11-1 and 11-9.

(29 May) The first semi-finals of HKFC International 25 are between Annie Au and Joshanna Chinappa from India. Annie Au came back from a game down to take over the victory at 9-11, 12-10, 11-6,11-9 in 48 mins. " I am delighted and content to get into the final as I have met my target." She told after match.

Following with Annie, the defending Champion, Max Lee Ho Yin also reaches to the men・s final in a second successive time after defeating the Egyptian third seed Omar Abdel Megui at a straight 11-5,11-2,115 in just 30mins.

He will play on Saurav Ghosal from India in the men・s Final which is scheduled on 4pm tomorrow whereas Annie Au and Habiba Mohamed will line up in the women's final at 3pm tomorrow in HK Football Club.

Vanessa Chu takes her second Professional Tour Champion title in Malaysia

(29 May) The young and upcoming player, Vanessa Chu Man Yee claimed her second Professional Tour champion title in a row in Malaysia Tour Leg 4. Vanessa is preforming very well recently and keeps her fighting spirit .She took down her opponent Teh Min Jie from Malaysia after a game down at 11-4, 6-11, 11-8 and 11-7 in the final held earlier today.

(28 May) Hong Kong top women's player Annie Au Wing Chi defeats her compatriot Joey Chan Ho Ling in the quarter finals. Annie Au played well as expected though Joey once fought back at the second, Annie held on and captured the victory at 11-5, 6-11,11-8,11-9 in Hong Kong Football club.

She will be meeting Joshana Chinappa from India in the semi-finals held tomorrow at 6pm.

For the men's event, the defending champion Max Lee had tight and enduring see-saw games with Tom Richards from England. The games was came back and forth but Max played up to his standards and caught the crucial points to take over at 6-11,11-0,15-13,16-18 and 11-5 to the semi-finals. He will meet Omar Abdel Meguid on court tomorrow night at 9pm.

(27 May) Top seeds safely pass through to the second round of HKFC International 25 tonight.

Home Favourites, the men・s and women・s seed No.1 Max Lee Ho Yin and Annie Au Wing Chi advanced together to the quarter finals by dispatching their opponents, James Huang and Carmen Lee in the first round.

Yip Tsz Fung and Choi Uen Shan both beat their teammates Tang Cheuk Yan and Cheng Nga Ching in a straight game respectively. Yip will play onto Leo Au in the first round at 4pm whereas Choi will meet Joey Chan at 5pm today in Hong Kong Football Club.

Following the victory ofYip Tsz Fung and Choi Uen Shan, another young promising player, Ho Tze Lok won over the Malaysian Siti Munirah Jusoh at a straight as well. She will be facing against Habiba Mohamed from Egypt in the round one.

(26 May) Hong Kong Football Club International 25 comes to the fourth year; the qualifying round started off yesterday, all the seeded players safely passed through to the second round except for Cheng Nga Ching upsetting the seed No.2 Zulhijjah Binti Azan at a a straight to meet Choi Uen Shan in the qualifying final.

Meanwhile, Hong Kong No.3 Yip Tsz Fung who just claimed the champion title of Malaysian Tour Squash Circuit 3 last week will meet his teammate Tang Cheuk Yan at 6pm tonight to secure the postion in the main draw.

HKFC International 25 is back to Hong Kong

 

(12 May) HKFC International 25 will be scheduled on 25 V 30 May, 2015 in Hong Kong Football Club.The defending champion, Lee Ho Yin Max and Au Wing Chi Annie will be the top seed of the men・s and women・s event respectively. Max will meet a qualifier whereas Annie will play against her compatriots Carmen Lee in round 1.

Besides, the newly Asian Champion, Au Chun Ming Leo, and Chan Ho Ling Joey will line up with their teammates to meet the qualifiers in the first round.

Rachael Grinham, the former world No.1 and the first runner up from last year will once again join the strong line-up to compete in the main event.

The qualifying round will be held on 25 and 26 May, 2015 before the main event will be starting off from 27 May to 30 May, 2015 in Hong Kong Football Club.

Leo Au first crowned in Asian Individual Championships 2015


(6 May) 18th Asian Individual Championships 2015 has finally come to a successful end. We are overwhelmed the triumph goes to our home-grown men player, Leo Au Chun Ming.

The men・s final between Leo and Abdullah Al Mezayen was full of excitements as expected; Leo managed to control the match pace and won a straight at 11-7, 11-9 and 13-11. He rewrites the history on not only claiming his first ever Asian Champion title but also becoming the first local born men・s player to win the championships.

:I am extremely happy to winning this title!; said delighted Leo.

At the same time, Annie Au Wing Chi also won the silver medal in the women・s event after being taken down at 10-12, 7-11 and 8-11 against current world No.1 Nicol David.

We would like to congratulate and thank our Hong Kong Team and coaches for their diligent hard work. We wish them the very success in the coming future.

Annie Au and Leo Au advance to the Finals of Asian Championships 2015


(5 May) This is thrilled to witness two Hong Kong born players get into the men・s and women・s finals of Asian Individual Championships 2015 together for the first time in history. Annie and Leo just played out their best squash to secure their places in the championships finals last evening.

Annie Au once again gets into the final in three consecutive times since 2011 and 2013 after fighting back from two games down to clinch the victory at 7-11, 11-9, 9-11, 12-10 and 11-4. Annie will encounter the current world No.1 Nicol David in the final at 10pm tonight (HK time).

At the same time, Leo has demonstrated the breath-taking yet speedy performance in the first men・s semis when he hanged in strong to defeat the Pakistan Farhan Zaman at 5-11, 11-9, 15-13 and 18-16. Leo will be lining up against Abdullah Al-Mezayen at 11pm tonight (HK time).

(4 May) After going through the third day of competition, Annie and Leo secured their places in the men・s and women・s semi-finals respectively.

Annie Au, the defending champion dispatched Rachel Arnold in a straight. She will be playing against Delia Arnold from Malaysia for the finals. Meanwhile, the fifth seed, Joey Chan was stopped from the quarters by losing a tight five sets with Indian Joshanna Chinappa.

For the men・s event, Leo Au overcame his teammate, Yip Tsz Fung at 2-11, 11-5, 11-1, 15-13 to the semi-finals; he will then meet Farhan Zaman who took on the top seed, Max Lee in a speedy yet furious straight game at 12-10, 11-9 and 15-13.
